Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Gil Hakemi, a sole trader based in Manchester, United Kingdom, who makes Seek (“we”, “us”) for your use of the Seek iOS app. By using Seek you accept them.

Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement also applies to the app, and these terms sit alongside it. Where the two conflict about the app itself, Apple’s Standard EULA wins — we cannot vary your rights under it.

Your account

Seek signs you in with Apple. You are responsible for your device, your Apple ID and what happens under your account. Keep access to your device secure, and tell us at support@seekplaces.app if you think someone else has got into your account.

Your content

The places, tags, notes, ratings, visits and lists you create are yours. You give us permission to store and sync them for the sole purpose of running Seek for you — nothing else. We do not sell your content and we do not use it for advertising.

You are responsible for what you save. Do not use Seek to store anything unlawful.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app: no attempting to break it, gain access to other people’s data, reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows, or use it to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.

Seek Premium

Seek Premium is offered as auto-renewing subscriptions — weekly or annual, shown in the app with their prices — or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. The auto-renewal details below apply to the subscriptions.

Lifetime is a one-time purchase that does not renew. It unlocks Premium for as long as Seek is offered on the App Store, and you can restore it on your devices with the same Apple ID.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple ID is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting Seek, or deleting your Seek account, does not cancel it.
If a free trial is offered and you buy the subscription during it, any unused part of the trial is forfeited.
Refunds are handled by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy. We do not set or display a price on this website.

Place information

Place names, addresses and details come from third-party sources, including Google Maps Platform. They are provided as they are, and we cannot promise they are accurate, complete or current. Always check important information — opening hours, addresses, whether somewhere still exists — before relying on it.

Availability and changes

Seek is under active development. Features can change, and the app or this website can be unavailable from time to time. We may update these terms; when we do, we will update the date at the top of this page, and continuing to use Seek means you accept the updated terms.

Disclaimers and liability

Seek is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data you chose not to keep elsewhere.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Ending this agreement

You can stop using Seek at any time, and delete your account in the app (Settings → Manage Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes are handled by its courts. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you keep any mandatory consumer protections of your home country.
